Quality / IPC
Quality is central to Icom-Scottech’s operations and is supported through defined processes, documented work instructions, and a focus on right-first-time manufacture. Our quality policy is based on meeting customer requirements, maintaining consistent workmanship standards, and driving continual improvement through the use of measured performance, internal review and corrective action. Quality controls are applied throughout the manufacturing route, from goods-in verification and in-process inspection through to final test and dispatch release.
Icom-Scottech is certified to ISO 9001:2015, with certification issued by SGS under UKAS-accredited management systems certification. This provides an externally audited framework for consistent delivery, including controls for document and configuration management, competence and training, supplier management, nonconformance control, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA). Regular internal and external audits help to verify that processes remain effective and that improvement actions are implemented and sustained.
Workmanship is supported by IPC-trained personnel and the application of IPC-aligned acceptance criteria appropriate to the product and customer specification. Where customers specify an IPC class, we align build instructions, inspection checkpoints and rework methods to the agreed requirements, helping to ensure consistent assembly quality across SMT, THT, hybrid and cable harness activities. This combination of trained staff, controlled processes and audited management systems provides customers with confidence in product quality, traceability and repeatability.
