WIn a hybrid model, procurement responsibility is shared, with selected parts purchased by Icom-Scottech and other items supplied free-issue by the customer. This approach is commonly used where customers wish to nominate critical components, long-lead items or proprietary parts, whilst delegating the balance of procurement to Icom-Scottech to simplify coordination. Material ownership and responsibility are defined at part level within the BOM/AVL and work order documentation, and all materials—regardless of source—are controlled through the same receiving, storage, issuing and traceability processes to maintain a single, coherent configuration baseline at build.
