Founded in 1994, Icom-Scottech began as a specialist provider of component forming and sub-contract electronics assembly. Over subsequent years, the business expanded its capabilities to support a broader range of electronics manufacturing requirements, from early-stage builds through to repeat production.

Icom-Scottech Limited was incorporated in Scotland on 9 October 2000 and operates from its facility in Kelso in the Scottish Borders. The company’s current ownership structure has been in place since June 2012, when two members of the management team bought out the founding partners, supporting long-term continuity and investment aligned to customer requirements.

Today, Icom-Scottech supports customers with an end-to-end manufacturing service spanning PCB assembly (SMT, THT and hybrid), cable harness production, mechanical and final unit assembly, inspection and testing, supply chain management, and new product introduction (NPI). This breadth of capability enables customers to progress from initial builds to established production with a consistent manufacturing partner operating through controlled processes.
